ABOUT THE ROLE

Universal Media Co is looking for a talented Digital Content & Editorial Coordinator to work on its hugely successful B2B publication Outdoor Design Source (ODS), together with a number of consumer lifestyle titles.

The ODS network encompasses print, online, enews and social media. It is Australia’s most comprehensive information source for professionals in the landscape and external works industry, and you will be its touchstone.

This role will see you forming good relationships with stakeholders to ensure a smooth production process. You will have plenty of opportunity to develop your writing skills across long and short-form content, and enhance your digital prowess.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Reporting to the Editor, main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting with editorial production of the annual ODS directory and additional consumer magazines.
  • Liaising with clients to collect submission material for print.
  • Liaising with clients to collect submission material for digital production and develop digital content (EDM, enews, mrecs and banners) to be deployed strategically through varied online and social media channels.
  • Preparing and disseminating client reports as part of a customer success program.
  • Maintaining a suite of social media accounts.
  • Updating and maintaining ODS website content.

 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and ideally in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Digital skills will be looked upon as beneficial, as would an understanding of SEO and Google analytics.

The right candidate will be super organised and have exceptional writing, communication and time management skills. A creative flair is desirable, while an impeccable phone manner and customer service skills is a must.
