
At the heart of the controversy in Hudson is a book titled “642 Things to Write About” — a collection of writing prompts that had been used in Hudson High School’s college-level writing class for five years until parents raised concern that some prompts were inappropriate for children.
HUDSON, Ohio – Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert is once again calling for criminal charges to be brought against Hudson School Board members for allowing a book that includes inappropriate writing prompts to be used as a supplemental resource in a college-credit course.
The calls for charges were repeated by Shubert in an email to an Akron Beacon Journal reporter Thursday morning, according to reporting by the outlet.
